The Purpose:
The Director of Growth Marketing will create and manage the Performance Marketing strategy, including paid digital marketing efforts and activations, driving continuity and effectiveness through all external channels. This includes Paid Social, Paid Search, Affiliate, any new channels, brand activations, and any above-the-line marketing efforts. This role will drive growth online and in-store. This role will leverage data to derive insights and strategies while managing 3rd party partners and direct reports.
THE ROLE (what you are accountable for):
Responsibilities:
•Lead performance marketing: create a high ROI marketing acquisition plan across the digital ecosystem, including social, paid, PR, SEM, SEO, and Direct. Delivering a funnel-driven, test-oriented approach, optimizing every stage of the user’s path to purchase
•Prioritize key channels to create an efficient marketing mix focused on the profitability of the first purchase
•Manage team: Manage direct reports and work cross-functionally with teams and key agency partners to develop and execute overall marketing direction and messaging for product launches, content, collateral, and go-to-market campaign strategy
•Deliver against aggressive traffic, conversion, revenue, and margin goals
•Execute tactical marketing plans in close coordination with the broader business to maximize performance against identified key performance indicators including email alignment
•Create and drive marketing budget: Work with the senior team and key stakeholders to deliver key quarterly and annual revenue targets through consistently evolving and optimizing the marketing strategy focusing on customer acquisition, conversion, and revenue growth
•Partner on SEO / SEM strategy: Working with our content team and key agency partners to help leverage content to drive conversion and retention
•Partner with the site experience team to identify key enhancements and improvements for the website
•Leverage CDP/CRM data to reach target audiences and improve marketing performance.
•Manage programs to budgeted spend and performance targets; consistently communicate the status of performance marketing performance to the broader organization
•Expertise in marketing automation software, attribution modeling, digital tools (Google Analytics, data warehouse, etc.), and funnel optimization to understand CPA, attribution, cohort analysis, and LTV
•Own analytics and insight: Understand key insights and attribution to build insightful dashboards and measure KPIs (CAC/LTV, retention) to drive growth and revenue
You Are:
•Data focused with a commitment to identifying key avenues for performance channel growth
•Familiar with optimizing KPIs around CPC, CPA, CPM, LTV, etc.
•A self-starter who is organized, proactive, has strong attention to detail and can adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
•Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and IT stakeholders and managing outside vendors
•A hard worker with the ability to operate independently while establishing strong work relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams
•Strong time management skills, able to multi-tasker and maintain tight deadlines
•Knack for identifying opportunities and challenging the paradigm
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
•7-10 years of professional experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
•Background in a data-driven approach while equally understanding brand-building.
•Strong knowledge of the e-commerce technology landscape
•Self-starter with a high degree of analytic curiosity – the ability to turn results/data into actionable recommendations
•Ability to effectively build consensus around program vision, and drive initiatives cross-functionally
•Success in creating and managing an omnichannel marketing strategy and budget directly tied to company growth and revenue
•Experience managing channels and digital marketers across content, social, paid search, SEO, and SEM with a thoughtful and kind approach
•Strong communication and writing skills to maintain an efficient and productive process
