Job Description
As demand for Scale and its AI services continues to grow rapidly, we simultaneously need to significantly increase the span and scale of our operations. We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Growth to drive the acquisition, training, and engagement of our diverse tasker community spanning multiple geographies, languages, and areas of expertise. You will play a pivotal role in tackling some of the most challenging problems in AI today. Your focus will be on developing new channels to find taskers, building effective onboarding funnels to scale tasker capacity while maintaining high quality, and optimizing systems and processes to enhance the experience for both taskers and our operators. We are looking for someone who can excel in problem-solving and has a strong track record in leading and inspiring teams to achieve exceptional results.


You will:


  • Develop and own ambitious KPIs for your team, collaborate with other teams throughout the ops and broader company organization to achieve those KPIs.
  • Bring a creative mindset to identify innovative growth strategies while utilizing data-driven insights to address scalability and efficiency bottlenecks.
  • Oversee teams accountable for driving the acquisition, retention, and engagement of taskers using a variety of new and existing channels, systems, and processes.
  • Dive into the tasker onboarding, training, and tasking interactions with our platforms to understand how to optimize growth funnels and tasker experience.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team, capable of executing immediate objectives while also anticipating and handling future operational challenges.


Ideally you'd have:


  • Strong management skills in leading a large team while growing, hiring, and developing top talent.
  • 8-12 years of experience in growth, product, and/or in operations, 5+ years as a people manager.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking, future planning, and hands-on execution.
  • Quantitative background with strong analytical and problem solving mindset to solving operational and business problems.
  • Experience driving ambitious growth metrics within an operational environment.


Nice to have:


  • Experience working in a high growth startup in operations, product, or growth.


The base salary range for this full-time position in our hub locations of San Francisco, New York, or Seattle, is $179,200-$220,000. Compensation packages at Scale include base salary, equity, and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Scale employees are also granted Stock Options that are awarded upon board of director approval. You’ll also receive benefits including, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous PTO. Additionally, this role may be eligible for additional benefits such as a commuter stipend.
