Salary Range: $87,000-$88,000 is the hiring salary range (i.e. the range a candidate would be offered to start).

The Person
As the Director, Growth & Brand Initiatives, your mission is to help us scale our program to serve more students throughout California. As the Director, Growth & Brand Initiatives, you will contribute to our growth and impact goals. You will work collaboratively with staff across our region to set vision and execute a series of engagements and events across the year, project managing each event. You will also support the partnerships team to identify key external conferences, help tailor our messaging and strategy for each event and support execution. Additionally, this role also supports our public relations and communications work by elevating the stories of our fellows and program to activate champions.
You Will Do This By
Set Vision & Direction and Lead Execution of Growth and Impact Events (40%)
  • Collaborate with Managing Director, Program and regional and national Partnerships teams to set vision & direction for a series of engagements and events supporting our growth and impact goals, aligned to our OneGoal brand strategy
  • Work with students, school partners, and other external partners who will be contributing to events, helping them understand vision, logistics, and preparing them to contribute
  • Organize, project plan, and execute all logistics for growth and brand engagements such as partner convenings, open houses, Student Summit, etc.
  • Support regional staff to understand their roles and execute them during events
  • Identify conference and event opportunities that supports with strategy and execution
  • Manage external contracts and vendors where necessary
Execute a Communications & Public Relations Strategy (25%)
  • Support partner and prospective partner communications by modifying pitches and collaborating with program staff to craft and send partner newsletters
  • Support stakeholder participation in public relations and brand engagements
  • In collaboration and support with the Managing Director of Program and Partnerships team, serve as OneGoal Bay Area’s liaison with our national Marketing and Communications team to identify and uplift Fellows, Alumni, Program Directors, and staff voices for public relations opportunities
  • Leverage social media and media outlets strategically to elevate brand and further our mission (e.g.,. LinkedIn, EdSource, etc).
Engage in Cross-Functional Collaboration in Support of Building Brand Awareness (25%)
  • In addition to working closely with the partnerships team, collaborate cross functionally with OneGoal Bay Area staff, including the Program and Development teams
  • Support and collaborate with the Program team to support events and elevate Fellow & Program Director voices
  • Support and collaborate with the Development team to align on brand awareness strategy
  • Act as the primary OneGoal Bay Area team liaison for broader OneGoal brand strategy and support regional team understanding and investment
Engage in personal learning and support team culture (10%)
  • Work to achieve meaningful outcomes, contribute to building a strong team and culture, actively engage in all OneGoal regional and national spaces, and commit to your own learning + development aligned to our Core Values.

Qualifications
  • Lived experience of the Fellows we serve – Preferred
  • Experience with events management – Nonprofit or education experience preferred
  • Ability to provide own transportation to team events, school sites, and Fellow meet ups
