Job summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proven brand leader to drive marketing and sales for The James Brand. In this role, you will report to the CEO and be responsible for developing and implementing brand initiatives that create short- and long-term results. You will be responsible for managing multiple channels across several platforms. Having the ability to launch, measure, learn and adapt is a must.
You will get your hands dirty with all aspects impacting James, ranging from but not limited to social initiatives, retail partnerships, team & community, events, collaborations, and more. As this is a new position, nothing is off limits.
You will work closely with the creative team, the founder, the product team, operations, and our global team. You will be the glue bonding these functions as you bring a season or initiative to market. You will ensure the customer experience is the same no matter where they live or how they engage with TJB. You will be the ultimate ambassador of the brand.
We are seeking someone with a proven track record for being a go-to-market tactician leaving no detail unaccounted for. When we shake hands with a partner, it is for life.
The ideal candidate will have:
·A minimum of fifteen years of marketing experience within a branded consumer goods role.
·A minimum of five years of experience within senior management.
·Proven track record and portfolio of GTM works and results for both direct to consumer and brick-n-mortar channels.
·Experience in the management of social media, including, but not limited to Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
·Experience with influencer and community marketing strategies and tactics.
·Proven experience of building and growing an effective team and events strategy that aligns with the brand values and goals.
·Successful track record for acquiring and retaining customers.
·Must be current in all things digital and technology.
·Must be a multi-tool in brand development.
Needed skills:
•Art & Science methodology. Proven experience using data from your analytics and your gut to make decisions.
·Strong presentation skills.
·Ability to measure and understand what success and failure look like.
·Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
·Project management & timeline management skills.
·Will to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is needed to bring a product to market, on time, in full and accurate.
·Consumer focused and market driven.
·Zest for start-up life and wearing lots of hats. Desire to build and be part of a great team.
·Experience working in a design-led company.
·Must be able to travel internationally.

Immediate functions:
·Bringing your experienced point of view to TJB.
·Go-To-Market planning that encompasses TJB’s global omni-channel and multi-categorical products.
·Dive into the weeds of Q4 2023 and get after it, while planning for 2024 and beyond.
·Develop a community relationship to enhance the brand’s values and campaigns.
·Work closely with all functions to leverage brand assets to maximize all current and future opportunities.
·Lead in the development of a global brick-n-mortar distribution strategy that aligns with the brand customer framework.
·Develop a strong bond to all essential partners.
·Work closely with the Wizard of Oz (Founder).
