About the Role
We’re searching for our first Developer Relations specialist to join the marketing team at OpsLevel. This role will be critical in helping us connect to our customers and the community at large. Our DevRel specialist will focus on crafting content, ideating with our marketers on what the right messaging should look like, and feed intel back into the product organization to help us make our product even better.

DevRel is a new function here, so we’re looking for someone who has done this before—either through owning technical content creation or as a DevOps/platform practitioner. You’ll help us shape the future of what DevRel at OpsLevel looks like.

About You
You have a passion to help leadership navigate the nebulous world of DevOps, platform engineering, architecture, and developer experience. You have a strong appetite for the trends and vendors that shape these segments of engineering.

Comfort in front of people and talking with new folks is a must. You’ll be sharing new ideas and learning from other perspectives both in-person and digitally, so you should be eager to engage with new people.

You’re curious and thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilites

  • Record product walk-throughs and host digital events with panelists and guests
  • Create and deliver talks at events on topics related to our mission
  • Engage with our customers and community members
  • Participate in external communities both in-person and online
  • Partner with product marketing to refine our go-to-market messaging and positioning
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create and deliver content (written, video, social) focused on our target customer and end-users

Requirements

  • Has worked with a distributed architecture
  • Demonstrated content creation and understanding of what good looks like
  • 5+ years of experience working on platform engineering, DevOps, architecture, or developer experience team
  • Experience in a DevRel or Technical Evangelist role is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. We’re a fully remote company and your ability to work asynchronously with stakeholders and partners is key
  • Has 3+ years of experience working on a platform engineering or DevOps team (or similar)
  • You should be a strong self-starter that can work with a high level of autonomy to get projects across the finish line
