Media Relations Specialist Jobs

This position will support the media relations advisor as EPRI continues to expand its media engagement. This position requires highly proficient organizational skills, familiarity with public relations, and interest in the energy industry.Key responsibilities:

• Use social and digital media tools
• Assist with staffing interviews
• Organize media lists
• Maintain and expand internal metrics
• Assist in maintaining relationships with media
• Assist in maintaining talking points
• Identify new media opportunities, especially focused on international, TV, and podcasts
• Track media opportunities

Education and Experience:

• Knowledge of energy and environmental policy. Knowledge of the electric power industry is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in the energy industry, media, or public relations field.

Skills and Attributes:

• Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint are a plus
• Highly motivated “self-starter” who works well across teams.
• Excellent writer
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication (oral, written) skills
