Job Title: Media Relations Associate

Job Location: REMOTE

Pay Rate: $40/hr

Contract Duration: 4 Months [Temp-To-Hire]

Shift Timings: 8 to 5

This position will support the media relations advisor as EPRI continues to expand its media engagement. This position requires highly proficient organizational skills, familiarity with public relations, and interest in the energy industry. Key responsibilities:

• Maintain and expand internal metrics
• Track media opportunities
• Assist in maintaining talking points
• Assist with staffing interviews
• Assist in maintaining relationships with media
• Use social and digital media tools
• Identify new media opportunities, especially focused on international, TV, and podcasts
• Organize media lists

Education and Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in the energy industry, media, or public relations field.
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of energy and environmental policy. Knowledge of the electric power industry is a plus.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint are a plus
• Highly motivated “self-starter” who works well across teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication (oral, written) skills
• Excellent writer
