Design Assistant Jobs

We are a growing design & build company specializing in residential remodeling (kitchens, bathrooms, additions).
We are looking for a creative and motivated Design Assistant. Ideal candidate is highly organized, good at taking notes, eager and quick to learn, has strong attention to detail, and passion for interior design and remodeling. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must be extremely punctual, reliable, and have positive/can-do attitude.
Please note that this is an entry-level position but there are advancement opportunities for the right person as we continue to grow.

Typical Responsibilities:
• Supporting day-to-day of the Design Team and managing Team’s calendars.
• Assisting with all design aspects of a project such as putting together mood boards, selecting materials, checking pricing and stock of materials, communicating with vendors, placing orders, and making sure all deliveries are made on time
• Assisting with product research for various projects
• Inspecting incoming orders, organizing and returning products/samples
• Assisting with Social Media and Marketing
• Other administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor degree is preferred
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Poise and professionalism to deal with clients and vendors directly
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Tech-savvy. Knowledge of Google Docs, Instagram, Pinterest, Houzz
• Knowledge of CAD or any other programs such as Sketchup is not required but it is a huge plus
• Understanding of floor plans, elevations and measurements is a plus
• Must have a car and a valid Driver's License, as this position would often require travel to and from job sites and vendors
• Must be able to lift and carry samples/products up to 20 lbs on occasion
• Candidate must live within 20 miles of Newport Beach, CA
• An offer of employment may be contingent upon a satisfactory background check and proof of employment eligibility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: TBD based on previous experience
