Design Department Assistant Jobs

Design Department Assistant - Busy department within a great, local company is looking for an Design Department Assistant! Job responsibilities for this Assistant are as follows, but not limited to

• Review all bid responses
• Track and update project billing report
• Inform customer of status of documentation
• Manage bid openings
• Give updates on the status of projects
• Track project activities
• Ensure accuracy of bid response contract documents
• Assist with the coordination and scheduling with customers for job walks, news ads and bid openings
• Track and update managed projects for Design Department
• Write RFP's
• Create bid evaluation sheets
• Verify desired project start date and coordinate start up meeting
• Assist with scheduling of project dates
• Field phone calls/emails from contractors requesting bid results

This is a long term, full time, temp-to-hire position! The hours are 800 a.m. to 500 p.m., Monday through Friday. This company offers excellent benefits, 401k retirement plan (with a % match).

Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Minimum typing 40 wpm

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong organizational skills

Valid California Driver's License

Previous experience in a design department or a construction company (helpful!)
