Design Assistant Jobs

The Design Assistant position provides general support for both Men’s Denim and Lifestyle design team. Candidate must have a positive attitude, be highly organized and detail oriented. A design degree is required. One-year work experience is preferred, but not required. Candidate must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Updating or creating technical sketches when requested by designers
• Checking in sample fabric and trims once received
• Issuing POs for sample fabrics and trims.
• Creating style names, style numbers, and wash codes
• Prepare presentation boards as needed by designers
• Maintaining denim blanks library (unwashed garments)
• Organizing and maintaining development folders and denim design standards
• Understanding garment construction and stitch terminology
• Light communication with overseas vendors i.e. Requesting lab dips in the nominated fabrics for the seasons
• Writing PO’s/ work orders for wash house services (development and samples)
• Prepping for design meetings and photo shoots by organizing samples and reports
• Creating and updating development reports and change logs accurately and in a timely manner and email updates to crossfunctional teams
• Issuing cut tickets for protos and tracking protos through the development process
