Job Purpose

To assist firm with procurement & administrative support, interior architecture & design support, assist in drafting in AutoCAD.Assist with providing creative and technical design support to designers & procurement support to Studio Director.

Project Types

Modern high-end residential new construction, remodels, curated furnishing packages and custom innovative commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years previous relevant experience
• Previous internship with Interior Design Firm
• Bachelor’s Degree completed in Interior Design
• Previous position held in the interior design industry

Major Areas of Accountability

·Assist with requesting quotes from vendors

·Assist with creating client specific presentations and style boards

·Create specification sheets and proposals using Studio Webware software

·Communicate with fabricators and workrooms for pricing and coordination

·Order samples, reserve stock, request CFA’s, misc. sourcing

·Produce custom pillow and window treatment worksheets

·Assist Designer to produce custom furniture drawings

·Assist Designer with construction documentation, tile diagrams, cabinetry drawings, lighting plans, etc.

·Assist Designer with weekly Work in Progress Updates

·Procurement assistance

·Maintain organized records of specifications in binder and computer files

·Maintain library and organize samples

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Excel, Sketch-Up
• Must work well in small group setting and enjoy working as part of a team
• Ability to create presentations including color material boards, Sketch Up, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and renderings
• Must be able to perform successfully under pressure and in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Outstanding inter-personal skills, strong work ethic, exceptional listening skills, sense of urgency and high degree of professionalism, honesty and integrity, required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent presentation and customer service skills
• Knowledge of Building Codes and Standards
• Spanish speaking is a plus
• Knowledge of Studio Designer, a plus
• Assist with detailed custom furnishings for production
• Ability to draft in AutoCAD and pick up redlines
• Must be open to feedback and learning experiences
• Extremely detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines
• Assist with multiple projects and following up on tasks
• Ability to specify FF&E
