Position Summary
The Critical Care Clinical Sales Consultant is responsible for the development of the Critical Care Specialist team’s product and clinical knowledge. They are responsible for educating, training, and development of Key Clinical Customers and Opinion Leaders who utilize the Critical Care portfolio of products. The CSC is the technical and product expert who assists driving utilization of products through sharing of this knowledge with key customers. The CSC is responsible for the growth and development of the Critical Care Sales Team.
Clinical Solutions Manager
- Develop Inservicing scripts for all Critical Care Products
- New hire and internal clinical and product training
- Troubleshoot product issues in the field, make clinical technical presentations at the account level in support of the sales effort
- Manage the process and clinical specialist’s requirements for new account evaluations and inservicing—own the process of running a successful evaluation and conversion
- Player Coach assisting the Clinical Staff in field activities such as large evaluations and presentations.
- New Product technical support for field team
- In coordination with Region Manager and Sales Rep, assist with Critical Care evaluations and installations. Providing necessary technical and clinical expertise. Lead the efforts of the clinical support team involved with the projects.
- Assist Training Manager in building and implementing best in class field sales and product training courses to improve clinical and technical acumen of the field sales and clinical specialist teams
- Lead clinical/technical expert
- Routine field rides with clinical specialists and field sales team to strengthen product and clinical knowledge
- Manage the schedules of the clinical specialist/per diem team to prioritize and best support the field sales team
- Assist supporting new product launches through clinical support
- Assist marketing and product development as needed and appropriate
- Troubleshoot product issues in the field, make clinical technical presentations at the account level in support of the sales effort
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Prior Critical Care medical device sales, sales management, and/or Critical Care nursing experience is a requirement
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt and articulate ICU Medical Critical Care value proposition to a wide variety of decision makers
- Strategic-mindset with the ability to develop and execute a business plan to increase market share at strategic accounts that have substantial influence on specification decisions within the clinical community
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and deliver results through process-oriented data-driven continuous improvement tools and methods (sales funnel process, gap analysis, value selling, etc.)
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years marketing, sales management, and/or clinical experience required
- Previous medical device sales or critical care clinical experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Travel Requirements
- As part of the scope of employment, the employee must hold a valid driver’s license as well as comply and meet the requirements set forth in the Authorized Driver Policy to drive on behalf of the company.
- Typically requires travel more than 50% of the time
This role is based remotely; the incumbent may be remote in any state other than Colorado; California; Connecticut; Montana, Maine or New York.
