The Digital Media Association (DiMA) seeks a President & CEO to manage all aspects of DiMA’s advocacy efforts. The President & CEO has executive management responsibility for the affairs of the association and performs the duties assigned by the Board of Directors.
The Digital Media Association (DiMA) represents the world’s leading streaming companies, with a mission to promote and protect the ability of music fans to legally engage with creative content whenever and wherever they want it, and for artists to more easily reach longtime fans and make new ones.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are essential abilities and qualities that must be present to be successful in the position:
Leadership
Leadership of member companies and staff, communication with key stakeholders, being the primary ambassadors of the association. Duties include:
●Serving as spokesperson to the legislative and regulatory bodies, media and consumers to effectively represent, protect, and promote the streaming industry.
●Recruiting and retaining member companies in accordance with the association’s strategic goals.
●Recruiting, motivating and retaining staff in accordance with the association’s human resources guidelines.
●Directing and implementing the development of legislative, legal and regulatory agenda that advances the industry and the association.
●Overseeing the development and implementation of the association's professional development program to ensure industry operational excellence.
Strategy
Drive the strategic direction and constant development and progress of the association, in co-operation with the Board of Directors. Duties include:
●Developing and implementing the association strategic plan in consultation with the Board of Directors.
Management
Robust and professional management of the Board of Directors and committees, business planning, and the association’s finances. Duties include:
●Developing and implementing the association’s annual business.
●Developing and managing the operating and capital budgets in accordance with association fiscal policies.
Management and engagement strategy for the Digital Licensee Coordinator (DLC) to be discussed or determined
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have the following experience and expertise:
●Government Relations/Public Affairs Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience dealing with complex and high-profile legislative and regulatory matters, preferably within a corporate, law firm and/or trade association environment. Strong political acumen and expertise in the political process at the federal level required. Regulatory work experience strongly preferred.
●Relevant Issue Expertise: Keen understanding of the issue areas that affect the streaming industry, including music policy, technology policy, licensing and copyright issues.
●Leadership Experience: Outstanding manager of teams. Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and implement tactics for both proactive and reactive government relations. Track record of successfully building, leading, training, and coaching teams.
●Stakeholder Management and Collaboration: Demonstrable experience partnering with diverse internal and external stakeholders to drive consensus on important policy positions and relevant strategies.
Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required. Masters, JD or other advanced degree preferred.
