We are a rapidly growing solar and battery storage development business. We are based in Canada and build projects primarily in the US. Think US economy meets Canadian sensibilities, humor, and intellect.
We stand on the precipice of a remarkable period in our history. We have been around 13 years, always in the renewables space but never quite in the right part. But that has changed in the last few years. We have now identified and begun to make traction in the exciting community solar development space. We have a couple megawatts (MW) of operating assets and roughly 1GW of projects in our pipeline with site control. This conservatively represents $1B+ of unrealized value.
We are looking for a builder, a strategic doer, a ship captain to steer us through the next phase of growth and beyond. A strong candidate will be a person who has thrived in highly scrutinous environments, who can manage multiple workstreams at a time and manage their time to impact the right things at the right times to unlock maximum growth. This person wants to work at a place that makes the world a better place, that impacts people directly and indirectly for good, and whose contributions are felt throughout the org. The best candidate for this role will know what winning at scale looks like, be able to describe it to others, and then lead them/us to make it happen.
Initial Responsibilities (first 90 days):
Lead Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Systems/IT (4 direct reports, 25 FTEs total) to complete 2023 goals of 20 MW operating, 50 MW to achieve NTP, and 100 additional MW added to the funnel
Complete ERP rollout (50% of the way complete)
Key Results (first 18 months):
1. Build a team of 90% A players within 18 months
2. Build the systems to support 100 MW installed per year (determine project strike zone/sales strategy, operating standards, software backbone, recruiting/hiring, performance management)
3. Create and implement a budget to align revenue and spending to achieve profitability and self-fund corporate operations from current revenues (tighten up controls, determine strategy for revenue streams, determine cash management strategy)
Compensation:
Annual salary in the $200k range
Annual bonus in the $100k range (based on achievement of key results)
Significant equity position in a wildly undervalued publicly traded company
Full health benefits w/ 100% of premiums paid, 401k match
*Remote position with 10% travel*
