TITLE: Category Leadership Advisor

REPORTS TO: Head of Category Leadership East & National Accounts

LOCATION: REMOTE

From your PASSION to ours

The Category Leadership Advisor is a customer-facing position that supports the East Area sales team by developing and presenting the LHD category strategy, shelving and assortment principles into the customer, with a focus on ensuring appropriate space and focus is dedicated in store to LHD products. This individual will collaborate with the Head of Category Leadership East & National Accounts and East area sales team for East area customers.

This Category Leadership Advisor position is for East Food Retailers and Wholesalers.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Leads broader space initiatives across aisle and store
• Integrate data from a variety of sources to develop impactful customer-specific selling stories in support of key category business building initiatives.
• Analyze syndicated data (IRI, Symphony, dunnhumby, Numerator, JDA, VIQ, etc.) to identify key insights and business recommendations on distribution, assortment, pricing, and promotion
• Conduct assortment assessments and creates planograms
• Leverage insight resources to prioritize consumer and shopper needs and opportunities
• Develop and integrate consumer, shopper and retailer insights to better inform targeted strategies, plans and decisions
• Partners with Customer Business Leads in the development of insight-based new item presentations
• Conduct training of customer teams to broaden their understanding of sales information and tools available for business tracking and analysis.
• Develop and cultivate relationships with Customer Category Managers

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

• Strong syndicated and panel data knowledge
• Ability to comprehend and sell space management concepts within the context of category management
• Bachelor’s degree
• Good project management and training skills
• Effective communication skills and presentation skills
• 2+ years consumer package goods industry experience
• Ability to Travel (up to 25%)
• Strong analytic / problem solving capability
• Space management software skills
• Solid working knowledge of computers and related systems including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
