Senior Maintenance Advisor - Niger

Sincerus is seeking an experienced Maintenance Advisor to provide expert advisory services to the Niger Air Force in support of Department of State funded program initiatives. The Maintenance Advisor will work with the Nigerien Air Force (NiAF), military intelligence entities, and other government ISR partners to support and enhance ISR capabilities. The Advisor will serve in a full time, embedded, twelve-month long commitment abroad in Niamey, Niger. This is a multi-year contract.

The Maintenance Advisor will provide tactical and operational level advisory support to NiAF personnel, including flight crews, on the maintenance, management, and sustainment of the C-208 platform.

Required qualifications of the Maintenance Advisor:

• DLPT 3/3 in French language
• Minimum of one year of demonstrated prior professional experience advising foreign military personnel.
• Ability to solve problems and encourage consistent, solid performance.
• International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Level 4 English language proficiency.
• Two years of flight line maintenance and production control experience.
• Minimum of one year of demonstrated prior professional experience conducting raining for foreign military personnel.
• Ability to work independently to assess priorities and manage daily coordination of details with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate activities in multiple locations, act decisively in daily work, and work well in a multi-cultural team environment.
• Former U.S. or NATO ally Air Force aviation maintenance officer or sergeant (minimum O-3 or E-6, or NATO ally equivalent rank) with at least five years demonstrated prior experience, or minimum of 2,500 flight hours in a flying maintenance crew position, with the C-208 platform.
• Medical clearance equivalent to Department of State Level 1 as determined by a licensed healthcare practitioner. The Advisor shall undergo a medical assessment that examines his/her physical and mental fitness to perform the duties of an aircraft advisor, including the Advisor's ability to lift 50 pounds and work in sub-Saharan climates without climate control.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Ten years' U.S. or NATO ally military experience in an aviation maintenance or flight engineer capacity.
• English language (written and spoken) communications skills.
• Minimum of two years serving overseas in a military, civilian, and/or contract role.
• Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
