As a Business Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our founders, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to our company's growth.

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Business Development Intern to support our business development initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, helping to set up and execute various business development activities while learning from experienced professionals. This is an unpaid internship that will be compensated through hands on, real-time start-up experience, potentially a stipend and school credit. If successful, the role could lead to a full-time paid position.


Responsibilities:


Presentation Building:

  • Conduct general research as needed to support business development efforts.
  • Develop pitch decks, FAQs, onboarding docs, QBRs, customer profiles, and competitive analysis research.
  • Create compelling PPT decks and marketing collateral using tools like Canva.


Financial Analysis:

  • Assist in business modeling and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) activities:
  • Help build and maintain KPI dashboards and standard internal performance reports.
  • Assist in building and maintaining an investor and business development database for prospecting and targeting.
  • Support the development of sales forecasts, budget-to-actual sales revenue goals, and pricing strategies.
  • Contribute to the management of the corporate development, business development, and sales funnel (CRM).


Business Development Process Automation:

  • Contribute to the creation of onboarding flows, pricing plans, and reporting systems.
  • Assist in developing drip communication setups and stakeholder communication templates.
  • Participate in setting up an inbound, automated, turn-key solution for new customer acquisition.
  • Support thought leadership content creation and competitive feature comparisons.


Customer Pipeline & Lifecycle Management:

  • Support pitching, onboarding users, conducting demos, and managing partnerships.
  • Assist with prospecting using platforms like LinkedIn, Slack Communities, Discord, and Reddit.


Business Documentation:

  • Create standard documentation for term sheets, design and strategic partnership agreements, and customer onboarding documents.


Market Research:

  • Stay updated on AI, SaaS, and BI market trends.
  • Utilize tools like ChatGPT to identify new business growth opportunities.


Requirements:

  • Solid financial analysis capabilities, including business modeling in Excel/Sheets and FP&A skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, specifically HubSpot, for managing sales funnels.
  • Prior internships in startups or business development roles is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong skills in presentation building using PowerPoint and Canva.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Currently pursuing an MBA or an undergraduate business degree (junior or third-year students preferred).
