This position provides financial, analytical and operational expertise to support all work planning, cost planning, pricing, and Capital and Operations and Maintenance expense activities across the Appliance Service business. The Business Analyst will actively monitor, forecast and report on operational and financial performance against plan using existing reports or create new reports. The goal of the Business analyst is to provide insights, operational deficiencies, and implement strategies to meet business goals. **Job Responsibilities** + Create an annual Capital and Operations and Maintenance Cost Plan and District Work Plan. + Gather and analyze financial and operational data and create reports, dashboards and visualizations to understand business performance. + Strategize ideas to improve business operations. + Develop, streamline and maintain reporting tools. + Perform data discovery, analysis and modeling. + Lead special projects such as cost analysis, "what-if" scenarios, case studies, and cost savings initiatives. + Assure and maintain cost and budget account integrity through appropriate and timely journal entries, corrections and adjustments. + Investigate and reconcile expenditure charges to proper accounting/cost management guidelines, budgets and forecasts. + Coordinate and collaborate with different departmental teams to produce better business outcomes. + Communicate key insights and findings to Business Team. + Support storm restoration when needed. **Job Specific Qualifications** Required: + BS/BA Degree in Business Analytics/Engineering/Business Management/Finance or Computer related field and minimum of 3 years of experience; in lieu of a degree, 5 years of equivalent experience in business analytics or operations management + Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint + Experience in cost planning, financial analysis, and financial forecasting + Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools. + Proven experience to build and maintain management reports. + Ability to make business cases, analyze P&L, create and implement P&L improvement plans. + Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, developing and presenting presentations to a wide audience + Must have a valid U. S. driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record Desired: + Analytical ability, business sense, skilled in computer applications focused in research or data-based management + Utilization of systems and tools (e.g. SAP, SAP - Business Warehouse, Crystal reports,
