Business Research Analyst Jobs

Position Overview: As a Business Research Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry, your role is to conduct in-depth research and analysis on pharmaceutical products, market trends, competitors, and customer preferences. To analyze and interpret data, provide insights, and support decision-making processes to drive business growth and operational efficiency. Your insights and recommendations will contribute to the development and launch of successful pharmaceutical products, ensuring they meet market needs and drive business growth. Overall, you will take a holistic approach in working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, marketing, research and development, and sales, to support product strategies and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities May Include (but are not limited to):

1. Market Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, including sales reports, market research, and customer feedback. Use statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can guide business strategies and improve operational performance.

2. Product Analysis: Evaluate the performance of existing and new pharmaceutical products and assess their market positioning and strategy. Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and potential product enhancements or line extensions.

3. Competitor Analysis: Monitor and analyze the activities of competitors in the pharmaceutical market. Evaluate their product offerings, pricing strategies, marketing campaigns, and market share. Identify competitive advantages and areas for differentiation to inform product development and marketing strategies.

4. Product Strategy: Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to develop product strategies and roadmaps. Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making on product positioning, target markets, pricing, and distribution channels. Assist and coordinate the status of ongoing projects and initiatives within the pharmaceutical organization.

5. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and dashboards summarizing research findings, market trends, and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management. Perform NPV analysis, ROI analysis and payback period, etc.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in any field. Preferably, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Proficiency in market research methodologies, product valuation (NPV, ROI, etc.), tools, and techniques, MS Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint

· Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and analyze complex data from various sources.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

· Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

· Strong business acumen and understanding of marketing principles and strategies.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

· Previous experience as a Research Analyst or Market Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable.

· Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, market dynamics, and industry trends.

· Familiarity with statistical analysis software and data visualization tools.

· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry.
