Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Contribute to the design, development, implementation and maintenance of technical solutions and services for the management of structured and unstructured core and functional data, ensuring solutions capture, store, retain, process and distribute business data as meaningful insights to support decisions and operations. Engage with cross-functional stakeholders, including Asset Wealth Management end users and product developers, to collect, refine and translate requirements and technical specifications to ensure solutions optimize existing technology and identify new capabilities. Establish ownership of conformed data model, including defining and maintaining consistent position and transaction data model for all Wealth Management systems. Create complex SQL queries to gather, analyze and model large quantities of data using Big Data and other database platforms and technologies. Deconstruct and reverse engineer legacy relational platforms, including stored procedures, Informatica, Unix platform data, etc., and architect strategic solutions. Research, design, document, and modify data specifications throughout the production life cycle. Run Rest API service requests and analyze output to deduce outstanding issues and requirements. Operate effectively in ambiguous situations providing answers for asset wealth management clients in highly visible private banking environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Business Analyst, Technical Associate, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: collecting, processing and analyzing large quantities of transactions and positions data to support stakeholders in a banking and financial services organization using: SQL, including using SQL to analyze data; Big data Hadoop system to analyze transactions and positions data; No-SQL databases including Cassandra; Data modeling in relational and big data environments; Analyzing Java code in support of legacy processes and design of strategic solutions; Legacy platforms and tools, including mainframe, Sybase, stored procedures, RDB platforms, Informatica Code and Unix scripting in support of migration to strategic systems.
Job Location: 575 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07310. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Salary: 161,600.00 - $190,000.00 per year.
