Job Description

Business Analyst


Microdesk is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team!


This position requires the selected person to physically report to client’s job site in Jersey City, NJ three times a week. Other travel may be required for this position depending on the nature of the projects, duration, and project commitments.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person/online user training.
  • Work with management and in-house development team to develop new or enhance existing SharePoint team/application sites.
  • Evaluate as-is business processes to develop solutions that align with industry best practices.
  • Understand and communicate connections between business processes and business data.
  • Update, implement, and maintain standard procedures.
  • Perform quality assurance and code compliance review.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and utilize information in project documentation.
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry processes and advancements.
  • Serve as a liaison between client stakeholders and the implementation team.
  • Perform user acceptance testing.
  • Perform gap analysis.
  • Assist in project plan development and participate in monitoring project performance.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members during a project.
  • Provide general Engineering help desk support as a member of the Apps Support Team.
  • Create business process diagrams, presentations, user guides, reports.


Required Qualifications:

  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to translate technical requirements to process manuals.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • 4 or more years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Proficient in ECM solutions such as Open Text and SharePoint
  • A history of being a part of and supporting successful projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business information systems, or related field.
  • Working experience with a large public government agency or utility is a plus.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Competency in Analysis tools such as Power BI.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Maximo.
  • Knowledge of DocuSign is highly preferred.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

Salary Rate: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 Annually
