Please note this is a volunteer position. The Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA) Board of Directors is a 100% volunteer-team of managing directors who are passionate about advancing veterans, their spouses, and the PMO industry.

About the Position

The Director of Mentor Learning & Development is needed to create a training and learning program targeted for VPMMA's mentor members to help grow their coaching, active listening, servant leadership, and empathy skills. VPMMA mentors are sought after by mentees to help guide, encourage, nudge, cheer, and inspire them on their professional project manager career journey.The Director is chartered to ensure all mentors are equipped with a core foundation of learning and reference materials to provide a rich and robust mentoring experience. The intent is that all new mentors will be required to complete your training program to be eligible to start mentoring relationships. Additional certificates could be awarded upon completing supplemental learning courses. This is your program to design, engineer, and develop.

Ideal Candidate

You are an energetic, detailed-oriented, organizational champion. You are passionate about helping veterans and/or the project management industry, and you are in a place with the time and means to volunteer and invest at least two hours a week through 12/31/2023 to help make VPMMA’s mission successful.Preferred candidates will also have Board Secretary and/or non-profit Board experience.
