Data Mentor (Independent Service Provider)

Masterschool is on a mission to build a global network of success-based schools, led by industry leaders, to ensure that everyone can build an inspiring career in tech.

We are creating a network of online tech training programs that provide our students the skills and training to build a career in tech, led by industry leaders for industry demand, with 0 tuition until they are hired.

Masterschool is seeking an experienced and dedicated Data Mentor to join our pilot program aimed at providing career readiness services to students within the Masterschool professional community.

The Data Mentor will be responsible for utilizing their industry connections to secure interviews, conducting mock interviews, and providing home assignment consultations for students pursuing careers in data-related fields.

As an independent service provider, the Data Mentor will not be considered an employee of Masterschool, but rather a contractor providing specific services to the students in our professional community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide home assignment consultations, including ideation and managing expectations
• Conduct mock interviews, providing preparation, mock interviewing, and feedback.
• Ensure that all services are provided in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide any necessary equipment and materials required to provide the services.
• Utilize your connections to help students secure interviews with companies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in conducting interviews, preferably within the data industry.
• Experience in mentoring is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a data professional.
• Availability to commit to the pilot program and its obligations.
• Demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance.
