We focus on the individual's values, hobbies, likes, dislikes, and who they are as a person. Our goal is to help individuals living with dementia and their loved ones find the light in what feels like a sea of darkness. We provide assistance with creating a daily routine, finding meaningful activities, navigating changes in behavior, communication techniques, approaching difficult conversations, avoiding caregiver burnout, forming a positive environment, and finding community resources that are right for them.

Help play an integral part in establishing Ray of Light from the ground up. Ray of Light currently operates in Central Oregon. Residing in Oregon or the Pacific Northwest is not required, but it is preferred.

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of board meeting minutes, resolutions, and other official documents.
  • Coordinate and communicate with board members regarding meeting schedules, reminders, and other relevant updates.
  • Collaborate with the board chair and executive director to ensure compliance with bylaws, policies, and legal requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of board meeting materials, such as reports, presentations, and financial documents.
  • Support board committees by providing administrative assistance, scheduling meetings, and maintaining committee-related records.
  • Assist in the onboarding and orientation of new board members, ensuring they have access to relevant materials and resources.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information flow between board members, committees, and staff.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
