This position can be worked at our Global Contact Center in Omaha, Nebraska or Marion, Illinois. This position can also be worked remotely. Please note this position can only be worked remotely from the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin.
The Ambassador will work closely with the Senior Colleague Care Coordinators and Colleague Care Coordinators to provide support to the HR department, with a focus on onboarding and offboarding. The primary duty of this role is to coordinate a positive applicant and new hire experience during onboarding through the first year of employment. This includes serving as Guest Services Onboarding Ambassador, creating a caring and supportive foundation for all new hire colleagues from offer, training, nest, and beyond. The Ambassador is responsible for the execution of the Ambassador program, including assisting with crafting communications such as emails, presentations, and surveys through the lens of Hyatt’s Employee Value Proposition. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the employee experience and creating a culture of warmth, empathy, and respect. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of quickly building trust with colleagues through their approachable demeanor, open communication, and ability to deliver on commitments. Additionally, the Ambassador will focus on the offboarding processes, including exit interviews and termination processing. This role will conduct exit interviews with departing employees, collecting feedback on their experience, identifying areas for improvement, and working with the HR leadership team to recommend changes to onboarding process. The Ambassador is also responsible for various other administrative tasks and projects as assigned. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all privileged information at all times.
Position Responsibilities:
- Process employee terminations, including updating HR systems.
- Conduct exit interviews with departing employees, collecting feedback on their experience with the company and identifying areas for improvement.
- Personnel document routing, saving and filing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive HR-related information.
- Participates in a wide range of onboarding efforts, including career fairs and colleague events.
- Onboarding Ambassador for Guest Services new hire colleagues. In this capacity serving as primary contact for newly hired colleagues from offer through the first year of employment. Includes various touchpoints, surveys, and presentations, and intent to stay interviews.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
Experience:
- 1+ years working experience with an applicant tracking system preferred.
- 1+ years working experience with an HRIS system preferred.
- 1 - 3 years Human Resources experience strongly preferred.
- Hyatt Human Resources experience preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Computer Skills Needed:
- Solid working knowledge of basic computer navigation, including Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
