Position Overview
THE NPD KITCHEN LTD is the leading advisor on consumer behavior. Through unparalleled technology, advanced analytics, cross-industry data, and deep expertise, we provide clarity that helps almost 7,000 of the world’s leading brands and retailers take action and unlock business growth. The Food and Beverage Consumption team is currently seeking an Account Specialist who handles day-to-day servicing and project management, including answering client questions, training, and project and presentation development. Dataset and products are consumer data which captures Americans’ eating and drinking behaviors with ability to integrate with POS and other THE NPD KITCHEN LTD. Additionally, the Account Specialist role contributes to revenue goals and increases THE NPD KITCHEN LTDs value and relationships within client contacts. This integral member of the team will report directly to the Manager, Client Development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Contribute to team revenue and opportunity pipeline
- Accurately interpreting data and clearly articulating findings and insights to both internal and external audiences in written, visual, and verbal formats
- Conduct small group client training on THE NPD KITCHEN LTD applications and methodology, both onsite and via WebEx
- Build food industry expertise by monitoring, researching, and uncovering trends among consumers, retail CPG and foodservice
- Provide day-to-day servicing and communications support for our clients, assessing and addressing client business needs
- Explore proprietary data housed in a cross-tabular software system to isolate key data points to answer client business issues
Qualifications:
- 1-3 + years’ experience in analytical or market research role
- Experience accurately interpreting data and clearly articulating findings into cohesive and succinct stories
- Expert in MS Office products. (Strong Excel & PowerPoint is critical)
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities against pressing deadlines, strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience in consumer, POS, custom and/or syndicated research in food/foodservice is an asset
- Aptitude for analyzing and organizing data to identify patterns, trends, and drivers
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $52,900 to $70,000.
