Job Description
GovX is a fast-growing ecommerce business with our catalog representing our largest asset. New catalog partnerships have the largest influence and impact on GovX’s overall company growth. To accelerate our company growth, we are looking for a proven sales professional to join our growing sales team. The Account Executive, Marketing Services plays a key role in establishing new partnerships that directly influence GovX’s profitability through acquiring contracts that leverage our Marketing Services.


The Account Executive, Marketing Services is responsible for owning the full sales cycle of key targets within their category of focus. Understanding how to prioritize opportunities and what will drive impact within the GovX model is integral to the success of new partnerships. This is a collaborative role where the individual will be required to work strategically alongside other departments including but not limited to Category Management, Marketing, and Finance.


Success will be measured by the new revenue generated through opportunities created and closed. This performance will be supported by a competitive compensation package (base+variable payout). The role will also work with companies across multiple industries to achieve the stated financial targets through a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.


Responsibilities


  • Work with Category management and Partner Success teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new Partners.
  • Accurately and thoroughly leverage CRM (Dynamics) to maintain data and pipeline efficiency.
  • Research and understand prevailing trends/seasonality.
  • Work with Finance & Accounting to ensure all financial records are updated and accurate.
  • Can identify what is valued by those on the other side of the negotiating table.
  • Build relationships and establish trust with existing and potential partners.
  • Actively prioritize tasks and opportunities to ensure effective pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and work independently to build effective sales enablement materials.
  • Drive the contracting process through to execution and maintain all contracts accurately.
  • Ability to bring a partnership mindset to prospective deals.
  • Build a pipeline of new partners in targeted industries and close new partners efficiently.


Supervisory Responsibilities


This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Travel Requirements


<10% travel for trade shows and/or to the corporate office located in San Diego, CA is expected for this position.
Work Location
Due to state law and tax implications, remote work candidates must live and work in one of the following states: California, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, and New York.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years in an office environment

  • 3+ Years of relevant sales experience. Experience selling marketing services assets/content preferred
  • Self-starter who can think strategically and prioritize tasks according to company goals.
  • Great at relationship building and partnership development
  • Excellent organization and time management

Salary Range
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually, with the opportunity for additional variable compensation.
