  • Can self-manage and deal with ambiguity. While you will have significant time with the Strategy & New Ventures Directors, you will also have to invent and create on your own. If you need detailed directions, this might not be the position for you. But if you like to solve problems and figure out new “best practices”, this might be right for you.
  • Love to learn and are INTENSELY curious. Many of the projects will be about building capabilities that we or the OpCos don’t have and being the “lead learner” for the entire enterprise. If you are not an intensely curious person who thrives on new learnings, this is not the role for you.
  • Like to have fun. REALLY like to have fun at work and find much of the fun is from accomplishing unusual, tough things.


What You Will Do:


The Executive Project Leader within IFG’s Strategy & New Ventures (SNV) team will focus primarily on two areas: (1) strategic initiatives and (2) investments & acquisitions. Reporting to one of the SNV Directors, primary responsibilities will include (but not limited to):


Overall:


  • Support the SNV Director(s) to flawlessly execute a variety of projects.
  • Solve problems and create value to advance the execution of IFG and its OpCos’ strategic plans.


Strategic Initiatives:


  • Partner with OpCo business leaders and project leads on various IFG-supported projects.
  • Lead or support project management, manage meetings (design, cadence, agenda prioritization, actions, and follow-up), and develop project deliverables (presentations, models, dashboards / trackers, etc.).
  • Lead or support strategic initiatives within IFG and its OpCos that are focused on executing the strategic plan and/or building out capabilities.


Investments & Acquisitions:


  • Help the SNV team manage the Deal Relationship Management tracker to keep the team up to date on the status of potential targets.
  • Build financial models as well as executive presentations that will be used to make a recommendation to the IFG Chairman and IFG President on whether to move forward with an investment and/or acquisition.
  • Lead the research on deal activity and keep a pulse on trends and up-and-coming brands within the food & beverage space.
  • Perform category, financial, legal, and operational due diligence on target investment and/or acquisition companies.


Experience And Capabilities


  • Experience managing complex projects in a highly dynamic and fluid environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to interface with and present to C-level executives
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strategic and flexible approach to business problem solving; ability to process data and information quickly and formulate an effective strategy and/or plan
  • Rockstar Microsoft Office skills (e.g., lead the creation of executive presentations, financial statements, projection models, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in roles with similar responsibilities as above with demonstrated levels of responsibility (ideally, strategy and/or management consulting experience with a top consulting firm or internal corporate strategy team)
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to form deep and trusted relationships across different companies and functions
