Job Description

The Control State Director, along with senior leadership, will create and implement sales action plans that incorporate key actions that align with overall company vision and strategy. This position will maintain strong relationships with external partners (state boards and broker leadership teams) and internal cross functional teams to ensure success in all channels of distribution.This position will work to defend against competitive threats, anticipate and analyze industry selling trends and implement strategic action plans to positively impact the business. The Control State Director will have responsibility for developing the Regional Sales Managers and engaging the team in new products and initiatives. Responsibilities for managing the team will include assisting with career and business goal development and performance management. In addition, this position will be responsible for creating and maintaining the Sales Team annual budget.


Additional Responsibilities Include:

·Manages sales activities for all Control states

·Point person for all NABCA events including annual conference

·Lead the development and implementation of brand programming and key performance indicators for the division

·Directly manages and develops RSMs and broader sales teams within the region

·Develop and communicate volume and profit objectives for the division, monitor and ensure goal attainment is achieved annually

·Develop and communicate volume and profit objectives for the Division; monitor and ensure goal attainment of these objectives through KPIs

·Establish quantitative execution standards, KPIs and measures for the division è establish annual distribution objectives by size, customer and channel of trade. Review results on a monthly basis to ensure completion of the KPIs

·Pro-actively identify and communicate new brand / channel opportunities.Seamlessly integrate new brand acquisitions into the Division

·Develop and manage pricing opportunities, distributor pricing and margins, scan and DA effectiveness and competitive price reports

·Increasing the Division profitability, utilize the price opportunities to more accurately measure Atomic’s financial contribution with the distributor, increase efficiency with retail pricing and identify financial opportunities
