StevenDouglas is currently engaged with a fast-growing and well-capitalized family owned, Caribbean dessert/gift company. This is a very unique opportunity to join an established brand that is looking to grow their sales in both the U.S. and Caribbean. There is a huge potential for this person to double and triple sales in the next 5 years. This person will report directly to the CEO and will have the opportunity to run the business in the next 3-5 years. We are ideally looking at a base salary of mid to upper $100k’s plus comm/bonus (there may be some flexibility). This person will come in at a Director or Vice President title (DOE) with the opportunity to become General Manager in the near future. This person MUST have sales strategy experience and the ability to drive a serious growth in all channels including grocery, drug, mass; with club, travel retail and ecommerce being a priority.


* U.S. sales experience is required in the food or beverage industry. Caribbean exp. a plus

* This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

* Relocation to Miami upon promotion (3-5 years)


This head of Sales Strategy will be responsible for identifying white space opportunities for growth, both within and beyond the current strategic markets of Florida, Southern States, and Airports of North America. This role will drive the development and execution of innovative strategies to help double the business in the next 5 years. Reporting to the CEO, this person will work closely with various departments and teams to ensure alignment and support for the strategic vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the New Product Development Process, including identifying market opportunities and guiding product/package development.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track progress towards objectives.
  • Identify potential partnerships and collaborations to expand market presence.
  • Manage the execution of activity plans via sales and distribution teams and agencies (communication, research, and promotional).
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Formulate trade strategy and assist in its execution by developing sales propositions, providing guidance to sales and distribution personnel, and overseeing merchandising and promotional efforts.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate executed activities for effectiveness.
  • Formulate consumer-driven brand and commercial strategies and develop consistent activity plans.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize revenue and profitability.
