Summary:

Do you want to lead a team of 4-6 Project Developers and take your skillset to expand an existing portfolio into new markets? Do you have a passion for Community Solar and Energy storage development? Then look no further, this is the opportunity for you!

The Role:

• Lead project/portfolio level entitlement and permitting efforts in defined markets.
• Establish and foster key relationships with local permitting authorities, utilities, community members and other, third-party solar developers
• Negotiate and execute key project contracts including site lease and easement agreements, and interconnection agreements.
• Coordinate with and make recommendations to engineering team on how to overcome environmental, permit, or interconnection constraints.
• Monitor and evaluate clean energy trends and policies to communicate recommendations on strategic development to leadership
• Manage third-party contracts with companies technical, environmental, and interconnection consultants in support of project development efforts

Your Responsibilities:

• Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects at one time, meet short deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or equivalent degree
• Experience consulting various GIS databases to identify site restrictions, terrain, flood plains, easements, etc.
• 5-7 years of experience permitting energy storage and utility-scale, ground-mounted solar arrays
• Ability to travel 25-30% of the time
