Volunteer Tech Recruiter

NOTE: This is a volunteer position with no compensation, salary, or pay. Weekly commitment would be 2 -5 hrs per week. Minimum 3-month commitment. Recent graduates or college students from a university or any educational program preferred.

As a Volunteer Tech Recruiter, you will play a vital role in identifying and attracting talented individuals who are interested in volunteering their technical skills for our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to recruit and onboard volunteers with technology expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate volunteers' technical skills and match them with suitable positions that align with their interests and capabilities.
• Work closely with the volunteer management team to understand the organization's technology needs and align recruitment efforts accordingly.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new volunteers, including orientation, training, and assigning them to specific projects or teams. Maintain regular communication to provide support and address their questions or concerns.
• Assess the qualifications and suitability of potential volunteers through the review of applications, resumes, and conducting initial screenings.
• Create effective recruitment strategies to attract volunteers with technical skills and experience.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with potential and existing volunteers.
• Basic knowledge of technology roles and skills to assess volunteers' qualifications.
• Familiarity with recruitment strategies and tools to attract and screen potential volunteers.
• Passion for technology and a genuine interest in volunteering and supporting the mission of our organization.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
