Job Title: Volunteer Show Host

Organization: Black Mental Health Matters Inc

Location: Remote

Introduction: Black Mental Health Matters is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mental wellness and breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health within the Black community. We're looking for a talented show host to join our team as a volunteer and help us share important messages about mental health through a engaging, educational and entertaining show.

Responsibilities:

Host a weekly mental health-focused show that discusses current issues, provides resources and advice, and shares stories from the Black community.

Work with producers and writers to create engaging and informative content that addresses mental health topics in a culturally-sensitive manner.

Collaborate with mental health experts, advocates, and community members to bring new perspectives and insights to the show.

Promote the show through social media, email, and other channels, and engage with the audience to build a strong community.

Attend events, workshops, and other opportunities to network with mental health professionals and advocates, and bring new ideas and insights back to the show.

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills, with a confident and engaging speaking style.

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Mental Health field a plus.

A passion for mental health and a commitment to promoting wellness within the Black community.

Ability to work well with a team and collaborate effectively with producers, writers, and other team members.

Experience with podcasting, radio, or other forms of audio content creation is a plus.

Commitment to volunteering at least 5 hours per week.
