Job Description
Flexan is a global strategic contract manufacturer of custom high-quality silicone and thermoplastic components, sub-assemblies and devices designed to meet the critical requirements of Class I, Class II and Class III medical devices, as well as custom compounding and molding for precision parts.


The Vice President of Global Operations will provide strategic leadership for Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain which includes workflow, continuous improvement, safety and environmental health and safety initiatives.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and make recommendations for the improvement of policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the analysis of production and related processes and make recommendations on improvements and organization of process improvement activity through the application of Six-Sigma & Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Actively engage with sales team and customers, as appropriate, to strengthen key partnerships, leverage our services and partnership and deliver profitable financial growth.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service on requirements and initiatives to ensure mutually satisfying development, implementation, and execution of new product introductions, as well as forecasted production.

  • Implement a manufacturing and operations strategy and execution plan to achieve business goals, focusing on cost efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Accomplish results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrates all of the Flexan’s Corporate values:
  • Oversee and hold team accountable for resolving personnel problems by analyzing data (e.g., weekly efficiency data, monthly utilization reports, planning percentage reports), investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending action, and following through with performance management steps.
  • Ensure all ISO policy, and safety standards are adhered to throughout the facility
  • We operate with transparency, ethics, and integrity
  • Recommend and define objectives in each area of responsibility. Develop specific short-term and long-range plans and program as well as support budget requests.
  • Develop and submit for approval, plans for the adequate control of Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, budget spending, capital improvements, and customer service.
  • Hire, train, develop, and coach team members to create an environment of high engagement and performance.
  • Develop and monitor performance against forecasts and plans, to ensure the achievement of results in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, morale and productivity.
  • Lead the global operations team in troubleshooting problems throughout all steps of the Production process: understand processes, systems, equipment, and techniques necessary for optimum production quality and efficiency; lead and improve production methods; evaluate production metrics; identify problem areas (scrap, inefficiencies, etc.); work with others to develop solutions; communicate and implement solutions.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills, ability to attract top talent, capability to develop high performers, and hold people accountable for their performance.
  • 15+ years of management/manufacturing experience with direct P&L oversight and strong financial acumen.
  • A high level of cultural sensitivity and awareness, able to create a diverse organization while also engaging effectively across an experienced global peer group on the Flexan Leadership team.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or Masters preferred.
  • Proven capability to deliver results and drive strategic leadership within large-scale matrixed organizations.
  • Proven management capabilities: prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (experience with LEAN manufacturing practices desired); able to be firm and hold people accountable; excellent clear communication skills; able to motivate supervisees and peers.
  • Understands the complexity of business needs and decision drivers within an organization.
  • Must be able to take into account available facts, constraints, competitive circumstances, and probable consequences.
