Position Summary
Reporting to the C O O, the Senior Vice President, Clinical Operations provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that Athletico’s daily clinical operations have the appropriate contro ls, operational, administrative, reporting procedures and human capital to grow the business effectively and efficiently across the platform while ensuring financial stability. We are looking for a strong leader and a seasoned communicator with a robust fluency with in the health industry, along with direct client experience servicing companies at varying sizes and development stages to help Athletico realize its overall goals .
The Senior Vice President, Clinical Operations Manager is a cultural change agent who is ultimately accountable for client relationships, business growth, operations and strategic vision implementation. S/he is empowered to ensure patient and business objectives are met using extensive experience in client engagement, transformative leadership, business development, team development, financial management and organizational leadership.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development
  • Support s M&A activity including leading the operational integration of acquired companies while leveraging best practices and process improvement opportunities for best patient outcomes and exceptional financial performance across the platform.
  • Embodies Athletico’s culture and promotes commitment to the Company’s Core Values.
  • Develop s , establish es and direct s execution of operating policies, including compliance initiatives, to support overall Company policies and objectives and fosters an accountability and success oriented culture with the Company.
  • Maintain s and enhance s Athletico’s reputation as an outstanding patient and employe e-focused organization; identifies best practices within the Company and related industry sectors and infuses same into the strategy and DNA of the organization
  • Proactively achieve s strategic business objectives
  • Evaluate s market conditions, ROI, regulatory and reimbursement landscape to optimize new market entry, market expansion and considers other new business opportunities.
  • E nsure s a steady new business pipeline by pursuing new, creative opportunities with current and potential clients
  • Gather s and maintain s current knowledge of industry conditions/trends and recommends business and operational strategy changes based on market/industry shifts and maintains an active industry network.
  • Participate s in business development activities including key relationship building to support development of functional, efficient, and patient oriented services.
Financial Management
  • Provide s leadership and guidance in revenue growth, cost management and other financial areas
  • Oversee s operations and P&L. Secure sustainable and profitable P&L growth through accurate forecasting/client billing, and ensure optimal office/group profitability, utilization and staffing
  • Conduct s monthly financial reviews of clinics and work with VPCO team to ensure proper business planning procedures are followed
  • Prepare s internal reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, cost vs. return analysis and other reports so assigned team can meet company goals
Organizational Leadership
  • Communicate s and implement s organizational objectives , success criteria, and strategic initiatives
  • Develop s , maintain s and administer s a sound organization plan; initiate improvements as necessary
  • Demonstrate s a drive to transform clinics, work to create a shared vision that transcends diversified teams, and show empathy with sound judgment
  • Support s VPCO and R D s as well as the Athletic Training organization in the hire, promotio n , train ing , develop ment and motivation of high performing employees
  • Serves as the central connection between operations and the Resource Center to foster a culture of collaboration with Resource Center functional leaders.
  • Directs Operational Excellence activities in the continuous improvement of field operations
People Development
  • Continually assess es prod uctivity opportunities and seek to improve the quality of care, patient outcomes with a profitable and sustainable deployment and support strategy.
  • Cultivate s a positive work environment, facilitate team development, and implement training and development initiatives
  • Develop s and implement s short and long term str ategy in conjunction with the CO O.
  • Establish es performance goals, and metrics; allocate resources and evaluate operational leadership’s ability to meet and exceed operational (budget and financial targets) and strategic objectives .
  • Provide s leadership in the daily business operations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company’s clinical operations, including accountability for regulatory/compliance, revenue and sales growth, expense, cost and margin control and ongoing financial goal management.
  • Lead s , motivate s , coach es and provide s support for a team of VPCO’s and their respective regional teams, and represent clinical operations at the executive level.

Qualifications
Education and Experience : The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required .
  • 7-10 years of operations leadership and/or general management experience,
  • Clinical complian ce programs experience preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience leading a division of a well-established multi-site, geographically diverse environment in the healthcare services sector and 5+ years in outpatient rehabilitation strongly preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Prior M&A experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus
