WHAT WE WILL CALL THIS POSITION: The Senior Vice President of Marketing


What You'll Do


The Senior Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for accelerating growth and strengthening the company’s position as a leading provider of comprehensive property and casualty (P&C) insurance software. The SVP of Global Marketing defines and executes the entire marketing strategy to drive Duck Creek’s brand positioning, optimizes demand generation campaigns and leads all aspects of product and corporate marketing. This is a senior leadership role that currently reports to the CEO.


  • Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that builds brand awareness, improves brand reputation, fosters innovation, and leverages partnerships while increasing market share, customer satisfaction and retention while being aligned with the company’s growth goals and revenue.
  • Manage and monitor marketing resources and spend to ensure each action is optimized in its effectiveness, quality, and that there is a clear mindset of measurement (ROI) within the team.
  • Lead Formation, Duck Creek’s marquee customer conference, to engage and excite customers and prospects.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in sales, customer success, and product functions to ensure that marketing efforts are aligned with the product roadmap, revenue initiatives and overall growth strategy of the business.
  • Initiate and implement strategies that differentiate the company’s value and help drive adoption of this messaging internally and externally.
  • Build and roll out an account-based marketing strategy, in partnership with sales, to target strategic accounts.
  • Closely collaborate with sales on lead qualification and hand off process definition and monitoring.


What You've Done


  • Experience in B2B technology, with a focus on enterprise software or SaaS (Preferred: experience in the insurance industry)
  • Strategic marketer with a proven ability to effectively grow new enterprise logos and engage the existing customer base
  • 10+ years of successfully leading all facets of marketing, including demand generation, brand, creative, product marketing, content marketing, communications/PR, events, insights and analytics
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and foster collaborative and strong relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, customers and partners to operationalize marketing strategy and goals
  • Balanced creativity and innovation with data-led decision making to deliver against strategic goals and budget requirements.
  • Implemented an account-based marketing strategy and driving collaboration with sales to create personalized, targeted buying experiences.
  • Successful record of managing and coaching a diverse team of global marketing professionals to drive world-class performance
  • Have worked in fast-paced companies (Preferred: Private Equity backed experience)
