Our client is a global omnichannel consumer product goods business experiencing tremendous growth. They are dedicated to delivering exceptional products and experiences to their customers worldwide. As they continue to grow, they seek a dynamic Vice President of Operations to drive their operational excellence and lead their high-performing teams.

Position Summary:

As the Vice President of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and fostering a culture of growth and collaboration. Your proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams, coupled with your expertise in fiscal operations and strategic planning, will be crucial to our ongoing success.

This position is an in-office role located in Naperville, IL. Candidates must be local and eligible to work in the U.S. without need of sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sourcing and procurement efforts, with a focus on ensuring a robust supply chain from China and managing 3PL relationships effectively.
• Create and implement strategies to manage risk and ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize operational processes, enhance efficiencies, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
• Establish strong relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end processes.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to align operations with business objectives.
• Lead and mentor a talented operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
• Drive fiscal operations excellence, managing budgets, cost controls, and performance metrics to ensure profitability and operational success.
• Contribute to long-term organizational growth by providing insights and recommendations on market trends and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in analyzing data, extracting insights, and making informed decisions.
• Proven experience as a Director or similar leadership role in operations within a high-growth, early-stage organization.
• Prior experience in consumer product goods industry required.
• Strong track record in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
• Exceptional financial acumen, with a track record of effectively managing budgets and improving fiscal operations.
• Expertise in sourcing goods from China and managing third-party logistics.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to drive operational excellence and implement innovative solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
