Job Description

This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive global strategies that are integrated with business objectives that will increase operational efficiencies, drive innovation, improve quality and increase profitability. In this role The Vice President of Global OP will work with cross functional leaders to create an operational performance in excellence.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the analysis of production and related processes and make recommendations on improvements and organization of process improvement activity through the application of Six-Sigma Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Develop and submit for approval, plans for the adequate control of Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, budget spending, capital improvements, and customer service.
  • Implement a manufacturing and operations strategy and execution plan to achieve business goals, focusing on cost efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Actively engage with sales team and customers, as appropriate, to strengthen key partnerships, leverage services and partnership and deliver profitable financial growth.
  • Lead the global operations team in troubleshooting problems throughout all steps of the Production process while understanding the processes, systems, equipment, and techniques necessary for optimum production quality and efficiency; lead and improve production methods and evaluate the metrics.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service on requirements and initiatives to ensure mutually satisfying development, implementation, and execution of new product introductions, as well as forecasted production.
  • Ensure that all ISO, policy, and safety standards are adhered to throughout the facility while leading and driving programs to institutionalize strong corporate culture.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain to deliver the sales and operating performance required for regional and global operations.
  • Develop and monitor performance against forecasts and plans that will ensure the achievement of results in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, morale and productivity.


REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTITUDES:

  • 10+ years of management/manufacturing experience with direct P&L management, and financial acumen.
  • Proven capability to deliver results and drive strategic leadership in large-scale matrixed organizations and demonstrate leadership.
  • Strategic thinking: ability to establish priorities and is a decisive individual who possesses a big picture perspective.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or Masters
  • LEAN manufacturing: able to be firm and hold people accountable using clean communication skills with the ability to motivate supervisees and peers.
