Overview


This is a Product Owner role with the Trade Surveillance area in the compliance division. The division within the Bank aims to build scenarios to detect market manipulation via various statistical and rules-based techniques. It is also responsible to provide a fit-for-purpose UI to research alerts via graphs and analytical signals. The role would entail leading the technology team to ensure the technical deliverables are delivered within the agreed timelines.

What You’ll Do


  • Responsible for Quality Assurance of project deliverables, as well as work directly with compliance surveillance business stakeholders to prioritize change requests and act as an escalation point
  • Work on leading the delivery team, collaborating with others to understand requirements, analyses and refine stories, design solutions, implement them, test them, and support them in production
  • Validates feasibility studies and estimates, as well as validates business case(s) outlining cost impacts and value drivers of proposed solutions
  • Work closely with users to gain feedback and ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Represent trade compliance surveillance when working with various application teams to create, manage and track a technology project across multiple business lines and functional groups
  • Working with the Business, assist in the creation of business cases for technology investment for global/regional prioritization, and providing transparency around status, risks, and issues, while establishing trusting relationships with key local and global stakeholders, as well as forging and maintaining close ties with global technology platform leads


Skills You’ll Need


  • Broad knowledge of related business solutions in the marketplace
  • General experience with Python Data Science and Analytics tools like Pandas & NumPy
  • Relevant experience in owning end-to-end product delivery in Financial Services
  • Knowledge of Quality Management tools and techniques beneficial
  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring junior members


Skills That Will Help You Excel


  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving experience
  • Having a good understanding of trade surveillance area and high-level understanding of various order types, order and trade lifecycle and traded products
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Maturity and persuasiveness to engage in business dialogue and support stakeholders


Expectations


It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
