Vice President Operations Jobs

The Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities of this fast growing Nutraceutical company. They will ensure development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work collaboratively with the executive team.

Responsibilities

• Guiding, directing and evaluating the work of management and executive team members
• Creating and implementing a strategic plan
• Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives
• Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials
• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level staff in the department
• Identifying, training and developing leaders within the company and setting them on a path for management
• Leveraging company output to improve ranking in the competitive field
• Budgeting for multiple projects, including monitoring and controlling costs
• Representing the company for external and internal events
• Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems
• Monitoring the competitive landscape and attending industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives and ways to stay ahead
• Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s operations division
• Tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Minimum 7 years’ experience as a manufacturing plant manager, general manager, or similar
• Ability to craft and execute a business strategy effectively
• Minimum 7 years with direct responsibility for operational P & L
• Significant experience in general management and P&L supervision
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in one of the following industries (food, beverage, food ingredients, pet food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or health and beauty)
