Title of Position: AVP (Associate Vice President) Strategy and Planning
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Operations
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Positions reporting to the position: None
Salary: $120,000.00
Purpose of this position
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the AVP Strategy and Planning serves as liaison between the COO and Win's internal business units. This role will support the COO in driving Win’s mission, values, and organizational development. Essential functions of the position are overseeing special projects, strategic initiatives, and data analytics to assess the effectiveness of critical business priorities. They will also partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to enhance organizational culture, processes, and employee engagement strategies to impact long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
- Assist leaders with SMART goal development and implementation of data analysis to track progress toward benchmarks and milestones. Evaluate the performance of cross-functional teams and prepare reports utilizing OKR format.
- Deliver clear and concise communications aligned with Win’s organizational strategy and culture in meetings, presentations, and memorandums.
- Coordinate long-range planning efforts and overall direction setting at the organizational level.
- Direct department leads in developing robust, scalable workflow processes, communication practices, and innovative collaboration tools.
- Keep the COO abreast of all operations communications and assist with appropriate responses.
- Collaborate with Win’s Executive leadership to determine and prioritize strategic initiatives, streamline operational processes, and implement tactical solutions to drive efficiency across Win’s core business units.
- Provide oversight and management of projects and assignments as directed by the COO.
- Support department leads in OKR development, codifying best practices, and leveraging data to assess progress toward goals.
- Aid in developing orientation and training for employees, including management positions.
- Diagnose inter-departmental inefficiencies through data analysis, and mitigate with tactical, data-driven solutions.
- Lead, coach, and facilitate teams throughout the change management process of adopting new systems, implementation, and maintenance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration by establishing rapport with internal and external stakeholders across the network office and Program Services teams.
- Spearhead ongoing evaluation of strategic initiatives to assess efficacy and recommend modifications as needed. Develop communication plans to keep relevant stakeholders informed.
- Ensure key performance indicators (KPI) and tracking tools are in coordination with organizational strategy; drive strategy alignment by cascading and measuring prioritized objectives throughout the organization while supporting the implementation and execution of the strategic plans.
- Assures meeting/exceeding the vision and mission by defining departmental goals.
- Partner with Finance, Human Capital, and IT departments to incorporate projected outcomes into long-range plans, evaluate budgets, assess operational risks, and identify opportunities to improve operations.
- Assist with devising strategies aimed at employee retention, engagement, and advancement.
- Oversee project management of organization-wide initiatives and system integrations.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Monitor, counsel, and aid in developing the internal DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging) and Trauma Informed Care strategies. Develop key performance indicators, accountability systems, and implementation plans to advance Win's culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging.

- Must be able to travel to Win sites, offsite training, and Win meetings.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, including Excel, Work and PowerPoint.
- BA degree plus three (5) years of managerial experience required.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills required.
