Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation. Operations span all product lines and markets.
FICC and Equities Operations provides client onboarding support, post-trade transaction services and post-trade portfolio services for the Markets business. Our Client Coverage Group manages key client relationships to enhance the client experience front to back. We support the FICC and Equities businesses to develop and deliver new products, services and markets.
YOUR IMPACT
Structured Credit Middle Office is looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent teamwork, organizational, technical, communication and risk management skills, as well as the necessary experience to take on a leadership role (either formal or informal) within the team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in financial markets and products and be able to operate effectively in a challenging and fast-paced environment, partner with the business and federation in order to facilitate business growth with a key focus on the risk and control around the trade capture, documentation, and settlement of structured financing transactions.
OUR IMPACT
Structured Credit Middle Office sits within FICC Operations in the Global Banking and Markets and is responsible for supporting the transaction management of all business generated by Structured Credit Trading businesses globally. We partner with a variety of groups across the Global Banking and Markets and wider Federation globally. The products being traded range in complexity from vanilla OTC derivatives, bonds and loans to the most innovative, structured financing transactions on the market today (whereby elements of these transactions include TRS, Structured Notes, loans, Repo, SPVs, CLNs and Mortgages). The team is not only responsible for managing the day to day business but more importantly partnering with the business to facilitate new activities and ensuring we constantly challenge our processes and controls to mitigate risk and increase scalability.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Managing operational aspects of structured financing transactions and communication with internal/external clients.
- Work with Trading/Sales and key Federation stakeholders on executing new business and maintaining the existing portfolio of trades
- Risk mitigation, ensuring client activity is successfully managed post trade execution.
- Manage key operational aspects around the issuance/execution for complex structured financing transactions.
- Actively involved with idea generation and implementation of creating quality solutions within the team to support new client and business activity and regulatory adherence.
- Middle Office support for various global Structured Credit Trading businesses

- Provide Lifecycle Support and guidance to Trading Desks, Sales and Clients. This role will involve a large amount of facilitation and negotiation with global teams across all divisions.
- Subject Matter Expert in Credit Derivatives, Loans, Debt Instruments, Structured Financing transactions and associated operational processes.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize own workload as well as that of the team, and drive results across the team
- Ability to multitask and work in high pressure environment
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment; able to work independently and as a self-starter, as appropriate
- BA or BS degree is required; concentration in finance a plus
- Technical Skills - demonstrates strong technical skills, pays attention to detail, takes initiative to broaden his/her knowledge and demonstrates appropriate financial/analytical skills.
- Familiarity with the firm’s risk and control framework
- Experience with, or readiness to provide oversight over more junior team members

- Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated confidence in communicating in a variety of forums and with varied audiences, including: formal presentations, training sessions, larger meeting venues, and with external/internal clients
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Operational knowledge of Bonds, Loans, Mortgages, Total Return Swaps and Structured bonds/notes will be highly beneficial
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$235000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
