We are looking for a recruiting leader to take our organizational processes to the next level. Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively communicate the nuances of many unique roles within the organization and attract diverse and outstanding talent. Kenneth Young Center is a growing social services non-profit located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago (based out of Elk Grove Village). The position will operate out of a hybrid work environment with some in office time required as well as opportunities for community based outreach and working remotely from home.
Job Scope: Oversees planning, developing and implementing an effective Talent Acquisition Strategy for KYC; building a strong employer brand. Manages the Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS). Responsible for finding, sourcing, recruiting, and hiring talented individuals. Supervises the activities to attract and evaluate candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting, search firms, and other sourcing methods. The TA Supervisor ensures that policies and procedures are followed and positions are filled efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Assist TA Specialist in training and guiding hiring managers through the recruiting/onboarding process
  • Lead employment-branding initiatives; work with hiring managers and Dev/Comm.
  • Proactively build applicant pipelines to meet current and future needs
  • Partner with TA Specialist in conducting phone screens and interviews
  • Work with the TA Specialist to conduct regular meetings with hiring managers to discuss recruitment progress, feedback and provide guidance on the selection process.
  • Recruiting budget/contract management, make recommendations to HR Team leadership regarding the most effective use of recruiting funds.
  • Manage the recruitment process from sourcing to offer acceptance, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract and retain top talent for various positions across the organization.
  • Assist TA Specialist in recruiting metrics; produce reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with Leadership and hiring managers to determine current and future staffing needs
  • Coordinate job fairs/recruitment events with TA Specialist
  • Provide training to hiring managers on implicit bias and interview technique and strategies to ensure best practices are maintained organization-wide.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in talent acquisition and recruitment.
  • Strategically source potential hires from diverse backgrounds.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, will consider HS/AA with significant equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1-year experience with healthcare or social services recruiting preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a recruiter or similar position.
  • Minimum 1-year experience as supervisor preferred.
  • W orking knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems(s) and other recruitment technologies required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of candidate sourcing or related experience.
