Staff Tax Accountant Jobs

Blueprint Tax Partners LLC is boutique tax firm with 1 partner, 5 employees and $1M in revenue.

We primarily work with small business owners (S Corps, Partnerships, Corporations) and complex individual tax prep. We regularly work with our clients throughout the year with a focus on tax reduction and business planning.

Our focus is to work with clients within a value based model with fixed fee ranges. On rare occasions we will bill hourly for the crazy stuff.

We use ProConnect Tax, QuickBooks Online, Gusto and SurePrep. The firm is 100% remote, we don't have a physical office. We focus on quality over quantity and prepare hundreds of returns each year with a 60% individual and 40% entity return split.

Overview:

• This is a remote work opportunity, you will need a dedicated, private space to work, take client calls and participate in meetings.
• Must be on a CPA track or willing to obtain Enrolled Agent credential within 6 months of start date.
• $60,000 to $84,000 total compensation which includes salary, company paid health insurance and 401(k).
• Must have at least 1 year of tax experience, public accounting firm experience is a plus.

Staff Tax Accountant Duties

You are a key member of the tax team which includes a Tax Manager and Admin support.

• Setup and assist with payroll compliance (via Gusto).
• Prepare tax projections: mock tax returns to assist with quarterly tax estimates.
• Preparation of individual and business entity tax returns.
• Communicate with tax agencies (IRS and state), both verbally and written correspondence.
• Bookkeeping on a limited basis (via QBO).
• Provide support on special projects (ERC, cost segregation, R&D, reasonable compensation)
• Research tax issues and questions vis CCH.
