Position Summary

ZMC & Associates in Atlanta, GA, and JMR Financial Group in Superior, WI are merging. The full-time remote Tax Consultant will be responsible for accounting and relationship management for firms primarily in the transportation and logistics, construction, healthcare and medical, government contractor, real estate, professional services, and law industries.The work hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm EST.The salary range is $50,000 to $67,000 and is based on experience.Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance.Also, 401K and performance bonuses are included.

Job Responsibilities

• Month-end and year-end review process.
• Tax optimization and preparation.
• Special projects.
• Facilitate client meetings to provide an update on the financial health of their business, discuss and solve issues and respond to questions.
• Relationship management.
• Client onboarding.
• IRS resolutions (i.e., inquiries, audits, payment plans, remove liens).

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CPA firm our outsourced accounting experience preferred.
• Must have excellent WiFi and a private place to work.
• Excellent technology skills and experience with Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook), QuickBooks, client collaboration tools like Liscio, project management applications like Asana, and tax preparation software like Proconnect and Proseries).
• Extremely organized and with great attention to detail.
• Must be an Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Excellent time management skills.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience preparing tax returns.
• Ability to do work with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor or higher in accounting or accounting-related field.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Highly driven and thrive in a fast-pasted environment.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn new things.
• Emotional intelligence.
• A minimum of 2 years of Quickbooks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
