Sr. Staff Accountant Jobs

The Sr. Staff Accountant will assist with accounting for client projects and related budgets; assist with monthly preparation of consolidated financial reports in a timely basis to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities; and assist with identifying improvement initiatives to analyze and identify cost savings and efficiencies. Strong financial system and analytical skills are required to provide analysis and cash forecasting and to record entries on a recurring basis in accordance with GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Correspond with departments to ensure proper accounting for AP, AR, and accruals.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting process as needed.
• Assist Accounting Manager with financial tax compliance and various external audits.
• Maintain project financial budget setup in system and related project change request.
• Assist with preparation of draft financial reports for varying levels of management, KPI, trending, graphs, and board of directors package.
• Assist with financial close, including maintaining supporting schedules and preparing journal entries.
• Assist with other duties and projects, as necessary.
• Oversee purchase order processing and outside cost avoidance.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP compliance, specifically ASC606, ASC842.
• High attention to detail and accuracy and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient with accounting and reporting systems, SAGE/Intacct experience preferred.
• Ability and willingness to drill into operational details.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and effective in working collaboratively cross functionally. Must be a team player with focus on achieving overall team and company goals.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years relevant Accounting or Financial experience.

Experience with foreign currency and India-based operations, preferred.
