The client's load-balancing (ADC) team is responsible for delivering application traffic to every client's customer worldwide. We built our own load-balancing solution using well-known open-source technologies and combined it with the power of the client platform to transform customer requirements into host configurations and deploy them at scale. We are continuously observing, measuring, testing, optimizing, and redeploying to keep our platform current, add new features, and maintain a high level of performance as we continue to grow rapidly.

To be successful in this role, we need someone who:

• Has the ability to partner with peers who are globally distributed.
• Is very comfortable building and maintaining Linux-based systems through automated tooling such as (but not limited to) Terraform, Cobbler, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
• Is an excellent oral and written communicator.
• Can figure things out. You will have documentation and many peers to turn to for help, but your work will touch many interconnected systems and technologies - too many to rely solely on the knowledge of others. To succeed you will need to investigate and discover on your own.
• Is experienced with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Has working knowledge of related internet protocols such as DNS, LDAP, NTP, SMTP, etc.
• Is capable to learn new technology in a fast-paced environment
• Has strong communication skills and empathy for customers.
• Has hands-on experience with Layer 4-7 networking protocols, such as TCP/UDP load balancing, SSL/TLS termination, and HTTP/HTTPS traffic management.
• Has integrity, and honesty and can uphold values.
