Network Engineer Jobs

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer for a temporary project involving the comprehensive overhaul of a CISCO network system.

The Network Engineer will play a critical role in configuring and troubleshooting new network equipment as part of this significant project.

Products included CISCO 9300 switches, C9120AXE-E WAPs, FortiGate Firewall and Peplink EPX utilizing the SD-WAN functionality.

Applicants should have the following Qualifications however in some circumstances, practical knowledge and experience will be accepted in place.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Cisco network equipment, including Catalyst 9300 switches and C9120AXE-E access points.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security systems.
• Familiarity with AV over IP systems and network configurations on luxury yachts would be an advantage.
• Experience with Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls, Peplink EPX, and SD-WAN configurations is required.

You should also own the following equipment:

1. Laptop with Required Software: A laptop equipped with network configuration and analysis tools, such as packet tracer, Wireshark, Putty, etc. The laptop should also have VPN capabilities for remote work and secure connections.
2. Basic Networking Tools: Network cable tester for working with network cables is useful but we will have another team devoted to termination and cable management. .
3. Fiber Optic Tools: The project involves fiber optics, tools like a light source and fiber end cleaner will be useful.

Nearly all work will be on-site, however there may be some remote prep and design support required before we break ground.

Onsite $75-$125 per hour depending on level of experience
