Responsibilities:

Sr Network Engineer is responsible for overseeing the network operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization's network infrastructure.

Maintain and manage the Fortigate Firewall, AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall), and Cisco Catalyst switches to ensure optimal network performance, security, and availability. Administer DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) services to ensure efficient and reliable IP address management for network devices. Take ownership of paid Pager-Duty responsibilities, which may involve occasional on-call duties for handling network-related incidents and emergencies.

Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on various projects, such as the migration of network monitoring systems from SolarWinds to New Relic or Grafana. Work closely with the service desk team to provide support for workstation VPN clients, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure seamless remote access for employees.

Exhibit a strong aptitude for learning and developing AWS (Amazon Web Services) skill sets, as the organization is transitioning from a hybrid colocation and AWS environment to a cloud-based infrastructure.

Possessing an AWS certification is a significant advantage as it demonstrates proficiency in AWS technologies and enhances the ability to contribute to the successful migration process.

Work with management with the vendor maintenance and contrast or SoW’s.

Sr Network Engineer will actively participate in AWS migration projects and cross-departmental initiatives, taking the lead when necessary. Their contributions will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure while collaborating closely with diverse teams. Ultimately, the Sr Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's successful transition to a cloud-based environment.

4+ years - Knowledge of network security principles to include firewall policy

application and enforcement and best practices for securing and

hardening network devices Intermediate to Advanced

4+ years - Understanding of advanced network design principles including BGP

routing, layer 2 and 3 redundancy protocols, overlay networking using

vxlan or VPN (or Cisco ACI in particular), NAT/SNAT, and application

delivery Intermediate to Advanced

3+ years - Experience building and thorough understanding of highly available

network infrastructure using models such as Active/Active or

Active/Passive General to Intermediate

2+ years - Experience planning and performing maintenance and change

operations on mission-critical enterprise-class networks using least-

disruptive, lowest-risk methodologies General to Intermediate 4+ years

Network troubleshooting using tools such as wireshark, tcpdump, nmap,

tracepath, ncat, etc. General knowledge

2+ years - Understanding of single sign-on and centralized authentication using

protocols such as SAML, TACACS, LDAP, etc and ability to manageand troubleshoot General knowledge

2+ years - Familiarity with networking in AWS environment and understanding of

constructs such as Gateway Load Balancer, Transit Gateway, VPC IP

Address Manager, etc General to Intermediate

2+ years - Understanding of and experience with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform

or other infrastructure management tools Intermediate

2+ years - Familiarity with CLI-based interface for network device configuration and

as to a broader audience in architecture review sessions General knowledge

· The base salary range for this position is $120K-$145K /year. Offered salary will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Business Wire reserves the right to modify this salary range at any time.
