Accountant (Remote) Jobs

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Publish financial statements on time
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Comply with financial policies and regulations

Qualifications

• Former work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Experience with general ledger functions

Job Highlights

• 5+ month contract
• Three years of experience in public accounting
• BA/BS in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred
• Basic knowledge and understanding of payment systems and cash reconciliation at a large financial institution
• Basic knowledge of blockchain technology and the crypto economy
• Possess excellent analytical skills (MS Excel), business partners, problem-solving, and prioritization skills

Compensation

• $43.33 - $46.67 /hour Pay Rate
